【ワラビ採り】
毎年ワラビがたくさん立つ山へ、おばあちゃんが連れて行ってくれました。
はじめは他の草とワラビを見分けられなかったけれど、
一つ見つけると、ここにもあそこにも次々に見つかって、
あっという間にカゴいっぱいに採れました。

Grandmother would take us each year to the mountain where bracken shoots rise in abundance.
At first, I couldn’t tell them apart from the other grasses.
But once I found one, they seemed to appear everywhere—here, and there—
and before I knew it, my basket was filled to the brim.
